My fiancé and I dined late in the evening on New Year’s Day. That being said, maybe the kitchen staff was exhausted and the pasta had been sitting, but the entrees (both of which came recommended by staff) were NOT up to par considering the price and reputation of this restaurant. The portion of seafood linguini was giant but the “white wine sauce” was basically a bowl full of water and only a couple of the clams were actually open. Excellent food and service was great. We will be dining again there very soon. Best Italian food in Reno
Only issue was they didn't have the first 2 bottles of wine we ordered and then they had to run to the other restaurant "roxy" to get our third bottle we ordered that they did not have. So we got our bottle of wine as we got our meal, would have preferred it a bit sooner
When we are in Reno-sometimes monthly, we always make a reservation at La Strada the best restaurant in all of the casinos The mushroom ravoli--their specialty for years is still the greatest.. Add a glass of white wine, their bread...and we are in "heaven" Will continue to come back to La Strada--and will recommend to all.. I wish the hotel was up to the same standards...sadly it is not....
Once again, the mushroom ravioli was outstanding. Service was a little lax and it was strange that the tablecloth had a huge tear in it but that didn't affect the quality of the food.
La Strada is one of my family’s favorite places to dine. We celebrated my birthday at La Strada before going to a show. Everything was delicious! A friend from out of town said the lasagna was the best she had ever eaten. The mushroom raviolis are a favorite and always delicious. A complimentary tiramisu was brought to the table w/ an Italian rendition of Happy Birthday. It was a very special evening!
We've eaten at LaStrada a number of time and are never disappointed. Food is very good and the wait staff outstanding. We had a standard Italian dinner - tomato soup and salad and chicken parm and veal chops for entre's. Served with bread which is always excellent. Restaurant is relatively quiet and very comfortable seating in a number of smaller rooms. The chicken parm came with vegetable and polenta. La Strada is one of the classiest expensive restaurants in Reno. I've lived in Reno since 1964 so I've been to almost all of them over the years. This was the first time that I was not someone's guest at La Strada so I never experienced the impact of seeing a Bill. It was our Christmas dinner, so it felt okay to splurge but was still shocking to see the prices on the menu. My brother said that Reno restaurants are much less expensive than those in the Bay Area.
