They treat my animals like their own and always take the time to answer any questions. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a great veterinarian. Just too my dog for dental and they not only made sure he was comfortable but went above and beyond to make sure his and my experience was as pain free as possible.
Dr. Kurt is an empathic, logical, and a wonderful vet. Our nearly 15 year old lab was inappropriately diagnosed by a downstate vet with a “cracked tooth”, in reality, he had a bone cancer in his mouth - which Dr. Kurt was quick to identify. We proceeded with the surgery to have the mass removed, knowing that it likely would come back. Dr. Kurt was straightforward and did not lead us to have inappropriately high expectations. We have been taking our Bernese Mountain Dog to Lake Street Vet for 6 years. At 11.5 years old his body was failing and it was time for him to go to doggie heaven. Dr Kurt came out to the house to end Tanzen’s pain. Dr Kurt was awesome and made the process as good as possible. We will always be in his debt for helping us through this difficult decision. My dog started vomiting on a Friday 3 hours before a blizzard was supposed to hit our area. The clinic immediately made time for me to bring her in -- provided a thorough exam and medication that has brought improvement within 24 hours. Appreciate their courtesy and professionalism. The vet even apologized that I had to "wait" while she comforted a grieving pet mom on the phone.
