Dr. Rapp performed 5 hours of fusion surgery on my lumbar spine. I am currently 5 months post surgery. My lower back is 100% better at this point . I am only experiencing some nerve pain in my hips and buttocks. I have and will continue recommend him to anyone who is dealing with debilitating back or neck pain.

Dr. Rapp gave me back my life. I had gone to another neurosurgeon that said I was fine and to go back to work. I continued with excrutiating pain that was like a lightening bolt going down my leg. I could bend over but I couldn't get up. Dr. Rapp took a look at my films and found I had a vertebrae that was sliding and hitting my nerve. He fused the two vertebrae together and I have been pain free since.

This surgeon is truly outstanding in his field. He recently prevented a hospital medical team from performing unnecessary and dangerous surgery on me, based on a wrong diagnosis. He had me discharged to complete a course of antibiotics and recover from a serious infection.

My pain level is low and I have been able to function well for the past 6 years now due to Dr. Rapp. He performed successful surgeries on my cervical spine by implanting titanium inserts C3-C7, on my lumbar spine he fused L3-L5 by removing prior inserts and replacing with bone, he also implanted an intrathecal pain pump, and completed carpal tunnel operations on my hands. He performed these operations with exceptional skill and without causing collateral damage. I recommend him to anyone and I will definitely turn to him aga... read more

I highly recommend Dr. Rapp. I was having neck pain as well as intermittent weakness and numbness in my arms and originally saw a "Beaumont" Orthopedic surgeon who blew me off and told me my neck was not the cause of my arm issues after reviewing a MRI scan and no surgery was needed. I switched to Dr. Rapp who knew of a new MRI machine called Upright MRI which allowed views of my neck in the flexion, extension and side to side. I had the Upright MRI performed which found I had a herniated disc at C2/C3 pressing on my spinal ... read more

This surgeon is fantastic. He spends time with you and answers any and all questions. Encourages second opinions. He and staff work well together. Great bedside manner. Treats you like a person. My insurance has been horrible about payments, but he has never left me hanging. Highly recommend!!!
