Buy Brother, save on ink!!! Great printers from Brother AND very affordable ink packages. Strongly recommend that you read consumer reports and other reviewers--Brother printers are one of the best at consuming the LEAST amount of ink. Very affordable.
Confusing ink problem If you purchase a new printer and some replacement ink use the ink that comes with the printer first because that is the only ink it excepts at first start up. I did not find any information why this is, but when the printer starts the first time apparently it needs the ink that comes with it. After it configure's itself you can install the additional ink packages when you need to.
