Poor installation experience - operation ok so far The installation of the device was a royal pain as the firmware needed immediate upgrade and the process for doing this was both obscure and full of "gotcha's". We installed the wireless connection first then tried to use the direct connect setup for the firmware download. The laptop kept saying printer not connected - but it was hardwired via USB!! Finally a re-boot of the laptop, wiggling the USB connectors, and re-starting the printer got it to work. We still don't know w... read more

Be kind to yourself, buy this – not that! I played around with the substitutes to the original Brother inkjet products and found them wanting. Yep! I do pay a higher price for this product, but in the long run (a couple of years) I found it only costs a little bit more to go first class. One of the advantages of going with the "cheapies" third-party items is that when you throw them out they don't cost you very much.
