They rescheduled the class that I could attend then said I would get a check in the mail !?!?! Yeah right, I’ve heard that before!!! I paid by card they should return it to the card!! If it were because of something I did or because I had to reschedule I would understand....but it was them that rescheduled and I will NEVER do business with this company ever again! People beware.....

Very misleading! After spending $210 (for my wife and I) we still don't have a single concealed license. All we got was a class about concealed a set of photos each and finger printed, which isn't even valid in this state. We still have to pay each state including our home state application fees and finger printing fees, before we can get them for our home state WA. If you live in WA, don't bother with @Mylegalheat its a waste of time and money!

Business response:

Jake I’m sorry you felt that way. Did you read through the course description and FAQ prior to registering? We cover the fees for each state permit in the course description. Permits are issued by the government, Legal Heat is not a government entity. We are a private training organization.

Made multiple attempts to reach out to this company about a future class or refund. Paid for a class back in February, was “rescheduled” due to Covid. Have not heard from them since. Reached out 4 times via email and have gotten no response back.

Purchased two classes. Showed up to Sportsmans warehouse in Thornton CO on time for the class and it was barely snowing outside and there was no instructor so they said the class was cancelled due to weather. called for a refund and they said that they "might" be able to issue a refund but could not guarantee a refund. I would not recommend Legal Heat. I feel like they intentionally sold the classes knowing they did not have and instructor just to take my money. I want my $150 back with an honest apology.

Business response:

Hi Anita, I am sorry to hear about your experience. We just had a management call about your situation so I could fully understand what happened. First of all, you will absolutely be given a refund (it has already been processed) and we are very sorry for the frustration. Our instructor who teaches that class location (and has since 2012) was driving from Utah. The pass (which is at a very high elevation) was closed for approximately 6 hours. This resulted in him missing that class but he was able to teach the other 2 course... read more

Purchased two class registration tickets, show up to the place of meet in Troy Texas at Webber’s shooting sports for the class. No instructor showed up and Webber’s said they have never heard of legal heat that this is a scam. I want my money refunded for wasting my time and gas for driving to Troy for this. I will be reporting this to the Better business bureau for fraud. This was very unprofessional in a business stand point I am very disappointed that I wasted my time and gas to show up on time for a class that was sche... read more

Business response:

Hello Josh, I am very sorry to hear about your experience. As I understand it our customer service has reached out to you and have the issue sorted away (at least as far as a path forward to complete the training). Legal Heat teaches close to 250 training classes each month among 32 states. Rarely (less than 1% of our classes) we have low enrollment and need to cancel the class. In those cases we send out an email to all enrolled students as well as an automated call. It appears those did not reach you this time and for that... read more

Class was Boring in an educational. We were told that this class would meet the requirements of the new I-1639 Washington St Laws to purchase weapons. When in fact it doesn’t .

Business response:

Hi Luke, do you mean the 1639 certification? Where and when did you take the class please? I am happy to try to get this resolved for you.

After paying for the online class for Washington States new compulsory class, and in doing so creating an account on Legal Heats website, I am now no longer able to even get on their website. After multiple tries on both Google Chrome and Explorer, I am out of ideas. I then tried to call them, answering machine. Not impressed. Their website seems to have crashed, not a great first impression.

I ordered a 2019 50 state guide to firearms laws and regulations. However, I was sent the 2018 edition. I did contact Legal Heat and was told that I would be sent the 2019 edition that I paid for. However, that never happened, even after a kind reminder.

Terrible instructor..... and the website didn’t specify that you must come to class with the state issued ID SPECIFIC to the state you are physically taking the class in. My sister flew all the way from Ohio to take this class with me in Alaska....applied weeks before the class with her Ohio ID (so Legal Heat can do a background check). No one called or emailed that there was an issue with this. She even received an email confirming her attendance. Ohio is one of 37 states that participated in reciprocity. It is safe to... read more
