We owe a couple rounds of whisky to the Founding Father of Gastown, Captain Jack Deighton. Also known as "Gassy Jack," he was a pilot turned saloonkeeper who loved to gas, & no, that doesn't mean what you might think it means. In Victorian times, the term meant to talk a lot & the Captain loved to do just that. Yummy brunch and nice atmosphere. Our waitress and the manager were both very accommodating & welcoming!
the atmosphere was electric for trivia night! Service and food also matched the atmosphere of the night. Anthony and Sean were killing it behind the bar
Great spot to pop in for just drinks or lunch. Very comfortable restaurant and the service staff were great! Our server, Ellie, was awesome and we will definitely go back next time we're in Gastown!
Really good food and service!! A waitress called Helena took our order and she was super sweet. I really liked the ambiance and the background music too.
Very cool vibe when you come in. It's a bustling place,good music, clean and nice overall decor. We were seated right in front of the bar. So one of the bartenders was supposed to be our server. He was quite friendly but I can remeber his name. He took or drink order, I asked a couple of questions about food allergens which he was going to confirm and asked for a sample of the Dino sour. Some bars just have a magic to them when it comes being a place that you have fun at every time. Perhaps it's been the company, but every night ever spent at Local has been a memorable experience.
Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere! So happy we decided to go there; staff could not have been any nicer!
