I have been using this Vet practice since I moved to Middletown. They are very knowledgable, and have excellent support staff. Occasionally, I need a quick appointment and they always find time for my pets. When my 16 yo dog needed help to "cross the rainbow bridge", they were extremely kind and helped me get through a very tough day. I don't know if they are any higher priced then other offices, but, I won't be shopping around. I buy premium food for my pets. I want them to have great healthcare too.
Great place to take your fur babies. We have taken 3 pets to this establishment so far and they are given the best care possible. All of our animals are healthy and safe thanks to this clinic. I'd recommend this over many other locations in Central PA. The service is friendly and the facilities are always spotless. The veterinarians and their assistants are caring and very knowledgable.
We've taken our cats to this hospital several times. The staff is always friendly and courteous. When one of our cats fell extremely ill and needed surgery, Dr. Urniezus was reponsive, explained what needed to be done, and how much each step would cost up front. Our cat is doing great now, and is as active as ever. I highly recommend this practice!
Now it is 2021 and we still have the same cats. We still go to this vet but are in the process of switching. One of our cats is sickly and has to go to the vet perhaps 4 extra times a year or more, and usually she has to go in the day we call. Again, the prices at this place continue to rise. They have added an extra cost to your visit if you have to go in that same day. It is now $80 to get your visit on the same day, and that is just the visit. If you get anything actually done there to your animal you may need a home equ... read more
PLEASE SHOP AROUND. The vets may be very caring and knowledgeable towards your beloved pet, but the customer service is terrible. I have been taking my dog here for a few years following a recommendation from a neighbor and because I had high hopes for this place, I didn't mind the 30 minute commute... but my opinion has drastically changed, and I have ZERO trust in them caring for my pet. The first time I went there on a Saturday for a routine checkup and I waited 1.5 hours past our appointment time to be seen. Apparently... read more
I would also give this 0 stars if I could. We had a terrible experience at Londonderry Animal Hospital when we had to put our dog down. In an unfortunate chain of events, our dog ended up biting Dr. Book after he had put the mussel on her (which, the whole thing could have been avoided if the doctor had not placed his hands directly in front of her mouth - you would think he would know better). He had put the mussel on top of her tumors and she was crying in pain. In any case, she bit him pretty good on his hand and you coul... read more
If I could give zero stars I would. This place has no communication skills between doctors or their patients. Brought my dog in on a Thursday for a doctors visit and the vet suggested she get her teeth cleaned. This vet said my dogs teeth looked good and she said no teeth would have to be taken out. She quoted me on the low end of around $250-300. I bring my dog in for the teeth cleaning on the following Tuesday. Around noon I get a call saying my dog woke up and just had FOUR TEETH taken out. I also paid $650 dollars cause ... read more
Stay away!! The Doctor that treats small animals, such as Guinea Pigs, she diagnosed our baby wrong! Because of her lack of knowledge, we had to put Benji down! Please be forewarned!!!!!!!!!
They seem to be a lot more dog than cat-friendly. Though I've been going there regularly more than 10 years, they never seem to remember me when I'm in. They also refused to work with a foster organization I'm a part of so the senior cat I foster could get discounted care. But most importantly, they decided that when I brought my cat in - who wasn't eating at the time - he needed his shots then and there as they were 2 months overdue. Is it best practice to vaccinate a cat when they are ill?? Clearly it isn't; doctors don't ... read more
