I came in wanting to get pink hair. A proper colorist would have known my natural hair was too dark for what I wanted and added a bleaching service or spoke to me about how they thought the color would like without bleaching. I walked out with bright red roots and weird mauve pink ends. While the dye was in my head they literally said "we'll see how this goes" which is not something you want to hear with dye in your hair. Unfriendly/unprofessional staff and poor service experience. I had my roots done and it washed out with one wash. Customer service was nice enough to book a correction. I showed up to the correction 6 min late (there's a 10 min grace period). I stood in the unattended front for a couple of min before going towards the back to find someone to help me. My appointed was for roots and balayage. I have been getting balayage done for years and have never experienced this result. Recently, I had to find a new salon and decided on Madison Reed because they are color specialists. The root was ok, thought my scalp is burning a bit. i thought Madison Reed specializes in root touch ups, I assumed they would be the experts, I was completely wrong. I had blonde highlights all over and I just wanted a root touch up with shine. I came out a dark brunette.! when I was shown the picture of the color for my roots, I told the colorist I would like to see the lighter shade, she didn't show it to me because she said it would not work with my highlights!!! please beware of what you are getting. really unhappy and disappointed in the results. I will never go back.

If I could give them a -10 I would the colorist had no clue what she was doing. My hair was orange and blue. I had to go to an actual professional salon to get it fixed. Awful. Stay away. They're fucking clueless
