Staff is both friendly and professional. Though Dr. Shamie does many cataract procedures, you are made to feel like you are special and important I highly recommend this office.

You will not find a Dr. as professional as the team at Malony-Shamie Vision Institute. The experience surpassed my expectations and I can see without glasses for the first time in over 60 years!! The sad thing is I’m sorry that my relationship with Dr.Robert Malony has ended, but happy and thankful for his expertise.

THIS IS THE BEST MONEY YOU WILL EVER SPEND IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. I have not a single regret. I had an ICL procedure with Dr. Shamie and it truly changed my life. I still can't believe that I can just SEE now. Every single person who works in this office is so kind and helpful. I never had to wait more then 5 minutes for an appointment. You have to go in for a lot of checkups and after the first one the receptionists knew my name and would get me right in. All the doctors who work under Dr. Shamie are super knowledgable and p... read more

Everything went like clockwork. Took me right on time. They made sure I knew everything that was going to happen and what to expect. Every question was answered for me. The staff were all exceptional and Dr. Shamie made me feel very comfortable during the entire surgery. I still have another eye to be taken care of and am looking forward to it, so I don't have to wear glasses any longer. Thank you

My cataract surgery went so well that I didn’t even know I had any type of surgery done except that the world is much brighter and I see so clearly now and don’t have to reach for my readers to check my phone or do computer work. The whole team at the surgery center was terrific, including the best anesthesiologist, Dr. Berkus. Everything is run on time, according to schedule at this office, and that is so appreciated. No long waiting time to be seen by a doctor. Everyone is kind and friendly and professional. Jody... read more

I was very apprehensive about having corrective corneal replacement surgery (DSEK) having had problems with cataract removal in my left eye. What a success it has been, though. After only one week my eyesight is better than I could have expected. Both my surgeon, Dr. Shamie, and the ophthalmologist, Dr. Vogel, have been professional and positive. Although I don't require the same type of surgery on my other eye, just cataract removal, I am thinking seriously of making the trek to Westwood because I trust them explicitly... read more

Dr. Neda Shamie of the Maloney Shamie Vision Institute is without question the best. This easily tossed around phrase is meant for doctors like Neda Shamie. I have Keratoconus in both eyes and unable to wear glasses and have worn contacts since I was 12 years old. Dr. Shamie took my very complicated eye case on several years ago and her primary goal was to get me the “best vision possible”. I required a corneal transplant in my left eye and a year and a half of very careful, patient after care. I then had cataract surgery... read more

My experience at Maloney-Shamie Vision Institute was above my expectations. I was super nervous about getting Lasik and everyone on the team was so friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. They really helped calmed my nerves. Dr. Shamie was so personable every time I saw her and I really appreciated that during my procedure she talked me through everything that was happening. I could feel how passionate she was about her job & knew I was in the best possible hands. I can’t imagine getting Lasik done anywhere else and recommen... read more
