As Marni knows it turned out to be a very frustrating process for us personally due to the fact I was in the process of transitioning into retirement. We had the assets available and credit ratings to easily qualify for the loan, but the process felt more like an IRS audit than a loan qualification. I suggest the underwriters look at the big picture rather than forcing applicants into their preconceived mold of having a scheduled monthly income stream established before loan approval.
