Wonderful, private hidaway!
This was our second stay at Tackett’s Hideaway we always love our stay! I definitely enjoyed being able to fish I hope they add that to the listing because I believe that will have several renters happy! Yes it is stocked we caught a variety of different fish! The hot tub was amazing as usual we are always able to relax and reconnect with no interruptions! Let me start off by saying how beautiful this place was!! my only complaint is the driveway. To get up, you'll have to gun it and turn off traction assist to make it up the hill unless you have 4WD. everything around the area was full of things to do, we went to Meeks hiking trails and took advantage of the local restaurants and meat market (best steaks we've ever had), drove out to Kanawha forest. if you truly don't want to go anywhere. you don't have to, there's a full kitchen with pots and pans too! this has by far been t... read more

Absolutely perfect place to spend our anniversary! The area and shipping container are even more impressive than the pictures convey. I would recommend the host upload images of the pond, the fire pit, and gorgeous woods and the view from the deck. Felt like we were in an treehouse. Absolutely splendid. We were 11/10 satisfied with our stay, everything was communicated effectively and we truly enjoyed everyone we met in Hurricane and Putnam county while we were there. This place was amazing!! So peaceful and lots to do there the hot tub was clean and already warm for us when we arrived. The pond was adorable lots of fish and the boat was a great touch. It was so clean and well kept we will definitely be coming back!!
The directions took us to an appointment complex, just keep driving straight till you see a small Hideaway sign on your right. We had a great time! Definitely recommending this place to my friends and family!
The location was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The hill to get to it is very steep, so be prepared, but an amazing and quite place to stay other than that!
