Let me first say that I do not like leaving bad reviews which is why I deleted my original Google review, but after the interaction I just had with the attorney who handled my case and the way she responded to my feedback, I won't be deleting this one. DO NOT HIRE THIS "FIRM" I am convinced that this firm is a scam. Spoke with someone named Morgan, then with someone named Jada, then with someone named Emily. You never get to speak with an attorney.. I WISH I WOULD HAVE LOOKED THE REVIEWS FIRST. Told them to send me.a refund and then a receipt for the consultation fee. She said could send me a screenshot of the payment. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM, STAY AWAY!

My experience with Melone Hatley was ultimately very disappointing and emotionally exhausting. Family law matters are already stressful, expensive, and deeply personal, which is why communication, transparency, and client support are so important. I was charged 1,950.00 for an email to be sent. I was lied to by Joe Simpson because he said that I would be able to get an emergency hearing that was completely wrong! Then all Ms. Shortt did was send an email for me . I got a bill for 1,950.00 She sent the email while I was in her office. To me I was grossly overcharged! BEWARE PEOPLE!!!

So much money and time wasted... never even made it to the courtroom before my attorney forced his way off the case.
I thought that this was a reputable firm but it has proved otherwise. I was assigned a lawyer by the firm. The lawyer abruptly resigned (sounded fishy). They charged me administrative fees and consultation fees and the bills kept coming. I also paid a $2500 retainer. I only had a quick intro with the lawyer and minimal contact with the paralegal.
