We were looking at the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments. The air conditioning unit is in the wall and it extends to the living room and bedroom. In the second bedroom there is no air conditioning at all. You cannot put anything on that wall because it takes up so much space. I asked if it was just this unit we saw and they told us all of them were like that. I just think it is a bad design and that is what turned us away from this facility.

Our beloved family member joined the memory center in good health but with memory issues. This person needed no support for dressing, eating and minimal support for walking. The family was not allowed to see this person in person or communicate by phone for 3 weeks! Unfortunately we lost this loved one unexpectedly without any contact. No real accountability from the center. Very disturbing emotionally and very questionable as a practice.

I would recommend you not go to Meridian at Anaheim Hills. During a time when I was visiting my loved one they took out personal belongings from my loved one and didn't give them back to my loved one. There is no privacy for my loved one. The community didn't provide the do's and don'ts of the community to the family of the resident. The community doesn't allow any residents to have cell phones to communicate with family.

My parents are so active now that they live at The Meridian. The only time I can catch them in their apartment is at night.

The Meridian is a fine place, the help is friendly and cooperative "unless" you need something such as AC repairs or regular weekly apartment cleaning, which is included with rent. The facility comes at a high cost & "out-of-control" annual rate increases of 4%+ and this year 5%+ pushing the monthly rate past $4,000. This is along way from the "falsely advertised" tizzer rate of "2,900."

The food is very bad, and management says that I am required to pay for it. I can't eat anywhere else because I wouldn't be able to afford eating out AND paying for the food at Meridian. The residents also have pretty severe dementia, so I’m not really able to socialize. There are a couple of people that are mentally cognizant, but they are few and far between.
