The restaurant was quite hectic and it took a bit to get seated. Service was very good and there was a variety of interesting cocktails. I had a corn and crab chowder to start—it was really just a tomato-based soup and didn’t have a lot of crab or corn. My main was the short rib—tasty but not a portion commensurate with an almost $40 price. There was nothing wrong with anything we ate, but it was all quite overpriced.
Metropolitan never disappoints and tonight was no exception!

Wonderful place. A tiny bit expensive but no where near overpriced (thanks inflation). Dinner/Drinks for 2 + one dessert was $110 not accounting tip. Lovely date night.
Excellent food and service. We went early on a Saturday evening so not too loud and the atmosphere was very cozy.
Terrific food & service. My only suggestion is not to put a party larger than 4 in a booth. We were a party of 6 so it was a bit cramped but a round table was not available. Otherwise we enjoyed our experience.
