I would not let him treat my dog. He either lies or is totally oblivious to what the main organs are in the human body. He should be doing anything besides making decisions for people which affects their health and their life.
Dr Jacoby was dismissive, narcissistic and tried to make his words mine in my chart. He actually told me women love him because he maxes out their topamax and it helps them lose weight. He refused to look up from his computer and actually listen to me and when I broke down crying, he called me verbose. I tried to express my concerns and he decided they were caused by a medication I had only been on for a short tome yet the symptoms started prior to the medication then he wrote in my chart that it was my idea and my thoughts ... read more
I have gone to jacoby and first time he gave me med and overdosed me.... then as im getting to des moines for my hour srive they call mw and he isnt going to be in office be hw had other things to do... then when he was done down grading me he was gone out of office complety before i evn left ezam room.... then thought i was being " a little crazy" with my problems... he paid more attention to his computer then me...then didnt want to do anything..
Dr Jacoby himself was nice, the one time I met him, but his nurse is rude, lies, and could care less about Dr Jacoby's patients. She is out of control and it is not worth it to go there and put up with this kind of behavior.
the first time I met with Dr. Jacoby I left the office crying feeling like I was crazy or stupid or both. He even kind of laughed as he was telling me oh those symptoms could be lots of things and not even related to each other. after dealing with new symptoms, I went back against my better judgement and things were a little better.
Horrible, I went to Ruan for and appt and arrived on time, I had to wait inline so was checked in about 9 minutes past my appt. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes then the front desk staff notified me that Dr.Jacoby wouldn't see me and I would have to schedule another appt because I wasn't there 30 minutes prior to my appt time to fill out paper work. When I scheduled my appt they never told me to arrive early, otherwise I would have. Not easy to do working 8-5 m-f, will never go back
Short, dismissive, amost angry. Couldnt look me in the eye. Rude, arrogant, impatient. Cut me off when asking questions. Treated me like I was stupid and was wasting my time. Quiet certainly the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office.
