😡 A negative review for Mike Bachman Plumbing. $240 bid to screw off a leaky valve and screw on a new one. Hung up and called another company while tech was still sitting there. Robert Spiers wins the job at $110. I offered the opportunity to Mike Bachman to match that price. Tech called manager they refused. 😡

RecommendedI wish you would quote prices over phone. It’s slightly duplitous, like you’re trying to hide something. At least we could wrap our mind around what to expect.
Charged over $400 dollars to snake the toilet because we were out of town and our renters had a problem. Never again. that is ridiculous! Then one week later, the problem reoccurred and we had to fix it ourselves after paying $400 for supposedly guaranteed work. I will never use them again. If I could give a zero, I would.

Looking at your invoice I see we were dispatched on a weekend and we do charge a weekend rate which our customers must agree to before we dispatch a plumber. We also did more than snake a toilet as our records show you had a partial main sewer issue causing your toilet to back up into your floor drains. I moved into the area a week ago and had just had a friend connect my ice maker on my fridge. The next day I noticed water dripping under my sink where the line to the ice maker is. No one could help me until the next weekend so I called Bachman Plumbing. Someone came the next day and I was told all that was wrong was a loose nut/screw on the valve. Hi Kay, a dispatch and evaluation fee is standard for professional licensed companies such as ours. Everyone that requests our services is told about this fee at the time of booking. It looks as though it was a fairly simple fix for our plumber so they only charged you that fee upon completion of the job. We do have costs associated with every call (Plumber’s wages, trucks, gas, insurance, office staff, inventory, phones, building, taxes etc).
