There was so much paper work but hardly any explanation as to why certian documents were needed. There was a ton of documents needed at the beginning but then each time we turned in papers we were told we needed more papers and more papers. The process took months.

From the feedback of the underwriter I could tell my mortgage officer did not know what documents I had submitted and a crucial email from my annuity company was not presented to the underwriter. My suggestion is: it is better for your mortgage officer to go over all the submissions from clients, and keep a list of what has been submitted so that no important document(s) is forgot or overlooked.
