Good good but not memorable. Room with noisy table distracted from meal
The food is really good and well done. They have a very nice outside sitting area that they are not maximizing. The car valets are right there acting silly and loud, which completely takes away from the charm. They could do so much more with the outside front and just taking it down with the valets right there. The tavern inside is very loud in the weekends on account of the low ceiling. I gave them an A for food and service, but a C for ambiance
This was our third time at Mirabelle..we've eaten in the restaurant but I prefer the Tavern side..it's more lively and since the menu is the same, why not? Food is always delicious and our waitress was wonderful Highly recommend this restaurant..
Very noisy until the music started. Excellent musician played. Food was very good.
This was the first time I've been here since they moved to Stonybrook. Since it was my birthday, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try them out again. How we determine if we like a restaurant or not, at the end of the meal we ask ourselves "Would we come back?" The answer for Mirabelle was "no" Liver pate was o.k. not great. Fois gras was boring.I normally love all fois gras, but this one was blah. The pork chop also was just o.k. The only saving grace was the duck, it was delicious and the portion surprisingly larg... read more
Outstanding food, well-prepared and presented. Sunday night no corkage is a plus
We did not get to sit in the restaurant because it is only available during the weekends, so we sat in the tavern area, but they were very nice and gave us a quiet corner table by the fireplace. The staff were very pleasant, and the food was awesome. My husband raved about the scallops, and he wished he had ordered multiple plates of them, lol. They were Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the duck confit, that was awesome as well, tender with perfectly crispy skin. It was also a pleasant surprise that they acknowledged our... read more
Very intimate bed and breakfast type location right on the water. Went for date night and was not disappointed!
I come to Mirabelle Tavern very often as a Saint James resident, and the service and food have consistently exceeded my expectations. The ambiance of the tavern is casual and fun, and I love having a drink at the bar before heading to my table. The bartenders are always easy to talk to and attentive. The hummus is fantastic as an appetizer and the salmon is a great summer entree. The servers are always friendly and welcoming, and the manager's presence is always felt throughout. They have great music on the weekends too!!
