Competent, professional, prompt. These are three words I'd start with to describe this vet clinic. Dr. Hagler figured out what was wrong with my dog's skin, after only one office visit. He was thorough, and ordered the proper lab tests. He accurately diagnosed the problem and prescribed meds that cured this ongoing issue within a month. Amazing. This was something my dog struggled with for quite some time, and I am so happy I finally took her to the right place. On top of that, they call me after every visit, to check on ... read more

We have used another local vet office for many years for various pets with overall fine results. Last week, our aged family cat, Tessie, was showing symptoms of some medical problem, but our customary vet couldn't fit us in and they recommended us to Mt. Diablo Veterinary Medical Center. We are so grateful that they did. Turns out our cat had tumors and was in the final weeks of her life. Everyone at MDVMC was extremely professional, caring, sensitive and accommodating to our cat and our family. They were very thorough ... read more

I have been bringing my dogs to Dr. Hagler for 17 years. I would not take them to anyone else, this is a special place. They have been great with each of my dogs, you can tell they really care about them. I trust them with their recommendations and they always give good explanations and answer all my questions. They are never in a hurry and are very patient and caring. The office is very clean and everyone is very friendly. They always greet me like we are old friends, which after 3 dogs, we are. We have been through some sa... read more

I found Mt. Diablo vet because my usual vet couldn't take my French Bulldog, Frank, on same day notice. They not only had the time, but the overall experience was awesome. Unlike another reviewer, I love that they take him in back without me there. They let him check out the place and meet everyone before doing an exam - what a wonderful way to put the pet at ease. I have the feeling that this is a big part of why Frank LIKES going to the vet, unlike every other animal I've ever had. Dr. Hagler is fantastic and really takes ... read more

Cat with a broken leg. (Don't ask how- he won't tell us-(we think he's embarrassed by it all) Initially placed in a cast at Emergency Vet. After 3 weeks, cast not working, bones not healing. Took cat to regular vet at Mt. Diablo Veterinary Medical Center and surgeon Dr. Watt suggested surgery to put in a plate and screws to secure bone. Ten days later he is running and jumping (you try to tell a cat he is not supposed to jump!). The office staff is terrific, regular Vets Drs. Hagler, Tutko and Fan are great ,the Vet Techs ar... read more

I'm somewhat new to Mt Diablo Vet Med Center. I had been with my previous vet for 10 years. I loved my vet but he was never available. The waiting room was total bedlam. Mt. Diablo has a calm quiet wait area and my dog and I are immediately put in a private triage room. Dr. Fan is amazing. Great with my dog and interested in my concerns. It's a wonderful place to take your pet. I love it!

The entire staff at Mt. Diablo veterinary is exceptional. They've taken such great care of our dog and cats and it's evident they treat our pets as if they were their own. Dr. Fan specifically has been so wonderful to our pets and we're also happy to have Dr. Hagler's expertise when she's unavailable. Highly recommended for any furry friends.

This place was awesome in their treatment and professionalism in how they treated my little baby chihuahua. Well, he's like 12 or so years old but I still call him my baby. He was having issues that were previously new to him and was extremely sensitive around his stomach area. It was a sudden reaction to something I had no idea what. So I called in and they made a same day appointment for my boy. Everyone who worked there was very nice and the guy who did the prescreening(?) check in kind of work was really knowledgable.
