If you are a person who signed up for the Homebuyers Advantage program, like I was, please know that there is a way out. IN DECEMBER OF 2018, A PERSON CAME KNOCKING ON MY DOOR THIS IS IN A LOWER INCOME AREA OF FORT LAUDERDALE. BUYER BEWARE!! WARNING: Their HBA program is totally one sided... theirs! I am paying the price for not reading the fine print, like a 40 year contract that renews every 3 years in return for a lousy $700 in advance to use them in the future when I sell my home. I sold my house on my own off market without a Realtor and they demanded that I pay them $9K!! They even filed a formal complaint and placed a lien against my title to make sure I do pay them!! They don't listen to the seller. Everything that was told to do, it was ignored. They help to sell my house but not happy with the process. Felt like it was more in favor of the buyer than representing me as the seller. For example never saw any documents from the process and felt very untruthful, never met the realtor in person. I.was very disappointed.
This agent lacked knowledge in how to proceed with selling the property. She sought us out so we took a chance but she not only appeared to be unfamiliar and assertive with the process, she only visited the property once and even failed to show up at the closing which is unheard of. I don’t recommend Shaterra to anyone; she only wanted that commission on the $600k property however she was did not deserve a dime of it!!
