Great alternative to harsh chemicals! These work extremely well and are a wonderful alternative to harsh chemicals such as chlorine or bromine in a spa tub. It is delightful sitting in clean, clear water with no odor and nothing in it to fade your swimwear. You do need to use a non-chlorine shock periodically. The cartridge utilizes silver nitrate - the substance hospitals put in newborn babies eyes to prevent infection - to sanitize the water.
