We had scheduled this gutter cleaning service to come twice a year, it was fine for the first year. Then they decided they could no longer clean the gutters complaining about our gutter shields, insisting they be permanently removed. We declined and decided not to continue the services since the shields were generally sufficient. They are overall very pushy trying to sell other services. I received a quote to get a gutter replacement for $1440 which I agreed and received an invoice. Shortly after the technicians arrive, I get a call from Alfredo Gutierrez from Ned Stevens. The new price changed to $3500. I told Alfred that I agreed on $1440 and $11 per ft for rotten wood replacement. Alfredo said that the agent who provided the initial estimate did not provide the correct estimate. They refuse to give you any notice or tell you when they are coming. We just got a notice they are coming within minutes while we have painters all around the house. Why they can’t notify you a day in advance is beyond me. On top of that, they try to upsell you on other services and then every time they come out they find repairs that are needed, even shortly after we had repairs done. As a longtime customer, I am deeply disappointed. I am kept online interminably in an attempt to reach customer service. If there were an emergency, this would be a hopeless method of communicating. I am about to abandon this service and I am truly sorry to do so after years of good service.
