Lively place Haven't been to Neirs in years. Decided to go tonight because they were showing the movie Goodfellas which did some filming there The place was packed but was able to get a table quickly Beers were ice cold and went down way to easy I ordered a Goodfellas hamburger which was very good. I seen this group perform at the Long Island Jazz and Wine Fest. They are great. They play Blues/Jazz/Fusion. Tight group Mike Armando is a great guitarist and I can say the same for the rest of the group. Andy Golba on bass and Gene Linefsky on the drums. Don;t miss this. They also play alot of In The Moment jazz/Blues with most groups don't.. John
Oldest drinking establishiment in Queens. Mae West at the age of 10 began her career on the stage of this tavern. The classic gangster movie Goodfellas with Robert Deniro was filmed there. Lots of history and memorabilia. The special drinks and food was excellent and had a great time. Definately worth checking out.

Don't bother. The great Wednesday night blues jam with Jim Moran has been cancelled after many successful years. What a loss to community and the music world. Spread the word and stay away until they bring back the Blues!
