The filet mignon and spicy noodles with dumplings were delicious. The dumplings were surprisingly good. If you like avocado and coffee, I would suggest avocado coffee. It is an interesting combination and tastes good. The mango sticky rice was disappointing. I would recommend making a reservation before coming.
The food at this place are absolutely fantastic, boasting the same delicious taste I remember from Fountain Valley. The fusion of flavors here, coupled with great coffee, makes for a delightful experience. However, it's worth noting that the menu choices are a bit limited. If, like me, you find yourself returning multiple times, you might eventually try everything available. Delightful fusion that is both familiar and a little different. The drinks can be overtly sweet, although the servers are very helpful in letting you know beforehand. Service is friendly and relatively fast. The wait can be long, so reservations are recommended. We tried the Beyond dumplings and they were impressive.
Nep Cafe is a fusion Vietnamese restaurant in Irvine, California. The setting is causal. The dishes are creative, delicious and affordable. I had lunch there on a Sunday. The business was good. I ordered a few dishes. They were all good. The service was good. The restaurant was a bit too noisy for me. They have a totally different menu for dinner. It is like having 2 restaurants sharing the same venue. I plan to go back there for dinner someday.
I honestly enjoyed everything I ate. Flavors are on point, everything was seasoned well and delicious! Beef tongue fried rice I would get every time. The sauce is good, but honestly you barely need it because the fried rice is already great without it. Definitely go with several friends or family members so you can try more things.
