We dropped in, unannounced, to visit a friend who recently moved into Northbrook Inn and were delighted to see the beautifully appointed decor, our friend's large room with great natural light, and the homey friendly surroundings. Our friend reported enjoying an in-house operatic performance given by music students from Northwestern a few days prior. The rooms at this community are not as nice as the entrance to this community. The staff I met seemed nice and they say they do encourage the residents to be social and not spend a lot of time in their rooms. They seem to offer a lot of nice amenities. I would recommend that if you look at this community you go at a meal time. Make sure to ask about the activities offered to see if they would be something your loved one might be interested in.

From what I know my loved one is doing well with her move to this community. It is a nice community, and we are pleased with her move here. It is a nice facility for her, and her needs. We know she is safe, and in receiving good care. They staff is very good, and taking good care of her. Everything is working out well.

My mom was placed at Northbrook Inn due to her valcility not being opened on schedule in Bloomingdale. This home is identical to Lakeview where mom is a resident now. Everyone including maintenance were more then helpful and kind. My mom was well taken care of. If I had anything negative it would be that mom said she would like to have more of a choice of food selection.

This is a wonderful community, and my wife is doing very well with her move to this community. She is safe, and receiving great care. The staff is wonderful, they have been attentive, and helpful. The activities director is amazing, she is very upbeat. She is great at what she does. This a brand new community so everything is very well maintained. We like the care at this community for my mom. The community is clean and the staff are very caring. The menu of the meals are appealing. The staff need to communicate more with each other. They have alot of activities that are available. I would suggest that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one one.

I liked that this was a brand new community and that everything was new and very modern. They had a great staff selection and everyone seemed very nice. They also had a great memory care unit that I thought was a highlight of there facility. Overall It was a pleasant experience just was not the right fit for my mother.

We were horrified over the disrespect and animosity that were displayed from the management towards the employees. We saw the turnover rate was high due to the abuse from the general manger. We thought this style was uncomfortable for our loved ones to be around so we chose to move out. Feel your way through the environment before you do anything,
