Every single member of the staff that I've encountered has been excellent. Their high level of professionalism combined with their kindness and compassion is something I've literally never seen anywhere else. I am so thankful to have found them for mom.
It's an amazing place, the staff's very caring and go above and beyond each day for the residents. My sister loves it. There is always something for her to do. She was sick back in December, the head nurse stayed with her for hours until they decided to transfer her to the hospital. It gives me peace of mind knowing my sister is at the Oaks at Evans. They watch the residents closely.
The facility is great, always clean and airy feeling. The have several optional, well planned activities throughout the day, such as word games, chair aerobics, music therapy, games, and worship services. They provide in house medical visits and prescription delivery, hair appointments, physical therapy, and optional menus. Every person who has gone with me to visit my sister there has been impressed with their attitude, friendliness, and programs.

We liked the size of facility and the friendliness of the staff. We disliked management overriding the food services order without notification. One statement I overheard was that we didn't require the quality of food ordered. That was our problem with the food service the quality was poor and no consideration for diabetics which accounted for about 60% of the residents. There I used pre cooked meals to support my meals. They don't have a laundry department like the place she came from. I do mother's laundry and a lot of residents do their own. I do think that they could provide more choices on the food menu and also have more activities offered as well.

We chose Oaks at Evans because the place was just so homey and was very welcoming. The director was so kind to my dad and was joking with him and just made him feel comfortable. As soon as dad walked in he just knew it was the place for him. Everyone who works here is so helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend Oaks at Evans to others looking.
