All the staff are friendly and helpful towards the residents here. I have already told family and friends about my experience and the community and how happy I am. There are days that the food is really good, and some days not so good. Overall, I think the food is acceptable. The food has improved since I have been here, and the community has held meetings to discuss the food with the residents. The management is outstanding here!

My mother will be leaving Morningside after 12 1/2 years due to finances. These years provided her with excellent care. The staff is kind, caring, and patient. Even during the most challenging times her care was utmost in the minds of the people who work there, from the director to the van driver ! Everyone cares about their work if they find another job. The only problem we have is in the apartment the toilet kept overflowing. So building maintenance could be improved. The activities are good, they go on various field trips. The food could be improved, it's a 2.5. They could have more choices, and the quality could be better. They need more staffing, they are short staffed, they have a high turnover rate. Overall it's pretty good. I like how they are helping her adjust.

Trying not to be very negative but the facility did a poor job on all the thing we ask of them. My mother room was never clean we had several meetings about this and always had a excuse for the reason the room was not clean. Also asked for her bathing schedule and when it did not happen again excuse's. We did some walk-in visit and had the director go to the room on the day of cleaning and she was able to see why we had been comparing the next week when I did a visit the room was spotless and with that said that was the only... read more

Placing my mother at Morningside was a horrible error! I was totally duped into believing my mother would have caring, trustful oversight. It did not happen and my mother’s residential time there was a heartbreaking experience. Please investigate this facility THOROUGHLY prior to placing your loved one at Morningside. It will save you from a heartbreaking experience.

Huge mistake. If you are searching for a safe, quality, and caring facility that is designed for all facets of daily needs and provides a sense of security for resident and confidence for family , PLEASE do not place your loved one here unless they are exceptionally independent. PLEASE take the time to research annual inspections and deficiency reports— it will prevent a lot of heartache.
