Good facility

it's a simple community. They do not offer much outside of the facility for the residence to go to or do they're very limited. Also on taking residence to doctor appointments and the billing has been incorrect since we moved in five months ago and you cannot speak to anybody in corporate even after leaving several messages. On a positive note, the facility is well laid out & easy for residence to move about. The staff appears to be friendly with the residence. Also, pricing is moderate, which makes the facility affordable fo... read more

I do not recommend at all. She went in walking well and was there six weeks and could not walk at all. I went in one day and she had bruises and busted lip. No one knew anything. I asked if she had fallen and they said no. She began to scream every time the attendees got near her. She was perfectly healthy going in and passed away six weeks after coming home. My mom was the sweetest lady and had a great disposition. She did have dementia, but I took care of her for ten years. I only put her in for respite care because I had ... read more

As I said, this was just over a year ago. Things have gone down since then. I have kept up with the residents at Shiloh Point. I can no longer recommend it. The good people left, the bad director was moved to another facility and recently fired. The level of care has fallen. The activities director is not doing much of anything. It's sad. Most of the residents that I know are looking for another place. The 4, and 5 rating would be a 2 or 3 now.

My loved one was previously a resident at Oaks at Shiloh Point for respite care. When I took her there, she was walking. When I picked her up after around 6 weeks, she could not walk and will never walk again. I would not recommend this facility to others.

I don't think the aides are medically trained enough to assist with the residents who are on hospice care. The community worked with us in furnishing the room for my loved one instead of us bringing the furniture into the community, due to the short amount of time my loved one one would be in the community. This community was willing to accept residents who are on catheters.

Don't recommend this place. They're good as can be for awhile then I guess they figure they've got you and the care dissipates. I started doing my mom's laundry because they did such a bad job. We've been giving her showers because they don't. Mom has dementia and she'll tell them she's already had a bath. Well, DUH. ASSISTED living is the clue here. Assist her. We pay them enough. She's out of breathing meds and only has enough for tonight. If there's an emergency, they'll call and ask if we want them taken to ER? Again, DU... read more

High turnover rate with staffing. Staff is friendly but hard to develop relationship with anyone due to the turnover rate. Management is horrible. Not friendly caring or respectful to the families of the residents or to the staff. Staff complains on a regular basis about the unfriendly management. Told by staff that this is a main reason for high turnover rate. Good management=happy staff=good assisted living community!
