1 week from vacation condo sold never told it was up for sale when I signed contract back in April so now what 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Debra, we were sorry to deliver the news that the condo you had reserved sold and the new owners did not want to honor the reservation. You can be assured that was not our companies decision. Most homes on Tybee are for sale and in most circumstances new owners honor reservations. Because there was nothing we could do about this we have offered you upgraded and larger properties for your vacation dates.
We just arrived to our rental. It’s up 4 flights of stairs and the elevator is broken and no one let us know. We have 3 small children, one is a baby. My husband is 65 with a heart condition and I’m 57 under a doctors care for a neck injury. The best they can do, so far, is to refund our money. There are no other available rentals for this week in this area, so we will have to go home. Odd experience. The owner of the property and the house itself are fine. The owner delightful. We did not have sheets for the sofa bed the first night, though I called and asked for them. Was told they would fix cable in bedroom the next day; 4 days later cable company comes and said that there was no cable in the bedroom. Strange, since their is a cable remote. Pink Flamingo smelled like mold. They attempted to hide with air fresheners everywhere. Wifi did not work and we got attitude when we called about it. after 3 days of calling, it was resolved We came back from the beach and the gate to the pool was pad locked. called and they had no clue. they finally called back and gave us the code. boards on the deck had nails sticking up. not one but over a dozen. our 11 year old cut his foot. Loved tybee but horrible experience at the condo. We were told oceanfront balcony and that wasn’t the case, we got a nice view of the condos in front of us. Parking was a disaster and nobody warned us about the 7ft by 7ft hole you have to park in- our Chevy Silverado 2500 only fit if everyone got out and allowed the driver to have room to get out after parking. Dishwasher didn’t hardly work. Bathtub was broken which made bathing two toddlers difficult. The elevator was out of service all week long, even though the sign said ... read more
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The Vue Property! Very clean and very convenient to everything. I'm sure we will be staying there again!
Day 2 into our vacation and it has been a total mess. Mermaids Castle on Pulaski is a beautiful property and we were excited to be here. Day 1, after a day of traveling, we were starting to take showers and we had no hot water and minimum pressure. Called and were told someone would be here the next morning. Maintenance came the next morning, the hot water heater had been turned off. Easy fix, good to go now, at least we thought that! Property Beach Melody was shabby and needs updated. Our sliding glass door didn't even have a handle (not kidding). A call the first day resulted in nothing. We used a kitchen towel to open the door. We found a pair of ladies undies in a drawer. Some of the kitchen pots/pans were very old and even rusted. They do not provide hangers in the bedrooms. I expected more for $3,000 a week. I talked to them about problems with a rental (over $500 a night). It was not prepared for our visit at Christmas. I also wrote a letter, absolutely no response. I will not go into detail because I did that and they just deleted my review. So disappointed, We had rented through them previously and had no problems. But the failure to even respond to my letter just shocks me. I am still hoping that they will call me and just talk to me. We plan to visit yearly because my family grew up there.
