I went for my second donation and I only got $50 when it should have been $125. I go to the center after waiting on hold for an hour for no one to answer the phone to just be told. oh there's nothing we can do. it's the computers after driving 25 minutes so now I lost my car insurance because of octaplasma center of Youngstown
I hate that I have to leave a less than stellar review because I usually LOVE this place, and they usually take good care of me. Place is usually killing it, everyone’s nice, friendly, im in, im out, no problem, I have a great donor history. The staff changes all the time, and all of a sudden I’m constantly being bruised and deferred, and missing out on important donations over something that’s not my fault. Don't recommend. Staff is distracted constantly (on phones, socializing, et), manager pushes arbitrary rules that makes access for those with disabilities more difficult. They also require unreasonable levels of documentation regarding your personal health and will freeze your ability to donate even if your conditions are unrelated to donating i.e. nerve damage, chronic pain, etc. A new donor visit that should've been a 2 hr ish ordeal became a -6 hour long ordeal- only to be told at the last minute that my chronic pain som... read more
Because I lost my last 2 $100, donations because first I had to miss a week of donating because I was extroverted, and had the most painful n ugliest huge bruise on my arm, due to employee error, not my fault, and I never ever bruised like that in my life!! Nor do I get bruising every from giving blood or plasma. 2 I was at center twice in one week and it was closed once at 340pm and than on a Friday at like 410pm and doors locked.
