Beautiful atmosphere and the mini farm area is adorable. However, the menu is confusing and would really benefit from photos. I ordered a sandwich that was much spicier than expected. There was no regular Coca-Cola available, and the alternative cola was extremely sweet. The fresh lemonade was good. We went to Pecan Craft Kitchen with high expectations given the hype, but it was a massive disappointment. First, the menu is just strange. It reads like it's trying way too hard to be innovative and different, but the execution falls completely flat. For example: I ordered a dish with a side called "soft pearl couscous", only to be served corn with feta and blueberries with kale instead. Over hyped and over seasoned. Food was covered in seasonings and spice that covered the actual taste of the dishes. The salmon was a nice quality piece but covered in an unnecessary seasoning. Tap wall is kitchy and requires self service yet cost is added into total bill for tipping. Server was pleasant but lacked service experience. Noise level is high. In spite of a reservation, we had to wait quite a while for a table. Noise inside the dining room was ear-splitting and on the patio it was just a couple decibels less. The menu is trendy-pretentious ("swicy"? "woosh"?), and fairly pricey, especially most of the wine selections by the bottle. Service was slow. Food was terrible. Bartender wanted a tip when you got your own wine. I will never go to the place again.
We had a party of three who died in on Friday night May 8. Everyone was very friendly however the food and ambience were terrible. When we first sat down, there were fruit flies and gnats everywhere on our table and this didn’t stop. The draft station was swarming and none of the beers were cold. Restaurant is seemingly modeled after the chain restaurant “Taste” which if you take a look you’ll see it’s the same thing. Food here is okay, absolutely nothing to write home about. Mindful you have to have the menu explained because “Pecan” is in every food option. Food is ho hum, we genuinely didn’t understand why there was a wait for such mediocre food.
Valet parking was rude. No one at booth so I park and they get mad at me. They intentionally block off none valet spots. Interesting you have to valet park but serve yourself your own drinks off the wall. Waitress never came back and asked if we want another drink for those in group that got mixed drinks. She seemed put out when we asked about the sandwich's. Definitely a one and done experience
