We were very satisfied with our windows. The installer arrived on time and did a wonderful job installing and clean up.
I would highly encourage anyone if looking for new windows, look elsewhere!! We purchased Pella Windows in 2004. The first year, had moisture problems and was told we needed to have a house audit done. We did...like all houses, there are air leaks! We did install a whole house air exchanger, which did help but added extra expense!! I clean windows every year, sometimes twice. They were an extremely poor choice for replacement windows and doors on our cabin. The windows were too small and the doors were too big even though they were custom made. Problems with the installation have taken over 4 months to resolve. Wiring was damaged and we have received no offers for compensation. One of the managers was rude and lied to us.
6 visits and about 2mo to install 2 replacement windows (52in x 58in)! Problems included: failure to match wood trim and stain color; not aligning wood trim with sliding glass door about 3in from it; damaging the wall when correcting misalignment of window. After 2mo of follow-up calls, canceled appointment, sheets over the windows, furniture and decor in disarray and no lighting or use of our guest bedroom, we requested a fair discount. First and foremost, I want to say I love Pella Windows. BUT I will never ever contract with them again!I have had 7 windows installed. First time was through a contracting company that installed Pella Windows. The installation company was wonderful but getting the products from Pella was horrible. it was the delays in the time, the rescheduling of the appointments, their overall customer service! they blamed it on the manufactures, which, of course, is them. I wouldn't even give them a 1 star - we have a brand new sliding door and there is a solid draft coming through and frost build up inside the house and inside the door jam. I contacted the sales rep and his response was: This can occur with frigid temperatures. It is happening at my house as well. Best thing to do is turn on a fan so warm air can melt the frost. So now I pay extra to heat my house because of the loss occurring from the $5600 door and pay to run a fan to melt the frost. Is this a joke? Tried contacting pella ... read more
Doors were quoted with a 3 week lead time. Doors arrived after 8 weeks. No problem with me that they were late, but Pella Northland would not return a single call regarding the status until week 7 when I cancelled the order. One door was dented before install. Its been 5 weeks, and no one has given me any indication if the replacement panel is on order or if they are even going to fix it.

• This unit was delivered and installed. Upon installation it was discovered that one of the garage door panels was dented in delivery. The panel has been reordered under warranty and is expected 9/2. Upon receipt and inspection of being in good condition it will be scheduled for service/replacement with the customer. Our experience with Pella windows in Plymouth Minnesota has been absolutely terrible. These people are unreliable and dishonest. We are extremely unhappy. We have spent nearly $200,000 on windows and these people have been totally unwilling to help us with leaks that have developed in our western windows. We are extremely dissatisfied and would rate them on a O -5 on a scale of five being positive and zero being OK as -5.. This is a warning: be careful of these people. We had replacement windows put in. On inspection one window was sliding down and the inspector notifield them of the issue. We recieved a call a couple weeks later noting the inspector's call and were told parts were ordered. After nothing for 2 months we started repeatedly calling customer service and found it impossible to get through. Messages were left with no return calls.
