In my second year of the heating oil ceiling plan contract. Last year was fine, but now it’s a different story. Requested oil delivery over a week and an half ago, had a truck show up a few days later but left without filling the tank or any notice, while leaving oil soaked trash in my driveway. I’ve been told multiple times over the course of this week the delivery will be tomorrow or that the truck was a few stops away and would be there in less than an hour. A word of caution to others - We recently purchased our home and the previous owner recommended we use Petro for our heating oil. We signed a fixed price service agreement with them but were charged a higher amount than what was in our contract after our first delivery. After multiple calls over the span of three weeks, they still refuse to accept the original amount that was contractually agreed upon (a contract that they drafted and sent to us for signature). When I reported low fuel oil, the operator set up a schedule for a Service Technician and follow up fuel oil delivery. Anthony, the Service Technician, was more efficient than other from Griffith Energy over 49 years. Anthony rates a 10 in my book.

reliable service but they will price gouge you on service contracts and oil rates. my experience with their service contract: 2 years in a row they dramatically raised the price of my service contract ($120 -> $500); ($175-> $450) with no explanation. I called up the office, and they knocked the price back down to one slightly higher than I paid the year before. my experience with their oil rates; they quoted me on November 6 at a cost of $5.2/gallon while other oil companies were quoting $4.29. these predatory pricing ... read more

I use to use Gr n for my heating service for over 30 years and I got sick and was unable to pay my bill on time. I received no care or consideration of my circumstances. They no longer served my family. One of the best things that happen was my finding PETRO they have been like family. When ever I have had to ask for an extension for a payment they have been most understanding, even caring about the situation. The persons who take the calls have the best phone etiquette.
