Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. It is always a joy to eat at Phoenix City Grille. The food never disappoints, the staff is friendly and competent. The menu is diverse so anyone could order what he wanted.
Went there for our 28th wedding anniversary. The server was on point, as well as the food and drinks. The owner Sheldon even came by to say hello and wish us a happy anniversary. Really unexpected. Price was reasonable for the food we had. And lest I forget the extensive whiskey menu they offer.. now I have to go back!
First visit for lunch- food was fine. Menu not real big. Salad and soup were both good but asked if they had turkey versus beef for an hamburger and it was no. Service was fair and waitress was a little short with us.

We were visiting from Tucson and staying at The Pointe Squaw Peak. Chose this restaurant as it was close by. A real neighborhood gem. The food was excellent. Will definitely return on future visits to Phoenix.
