Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. We were seated next to a table full of noisy talkers that almost ruined our dining experience, however the food saved the evening. I spoke to the man who seated us afterwards and made my displeasure known.

Good location for those wanting southwest spicy food and generous servings. Subdued refined ambiance with a neighborly feeling.
Loved Phoenix City Grille! Great atmosphere for conversation. The food was outstanding. The Bethany chopped salad & smoked turkey sandwiches are delicious and a welcome break from the run-of-the mill fare. Fresh, local ingredients really make a difference. Kudos to the chef! It was a great place to celebrate Father's Day. I am definitely taking my friends back for lunch! Can't wait to try the owner's other restaurant as well.

My guest was a first time visitor and she loved it. She liked the food selection and how great it tasted. I am sure she and her husband will be back.
When we booked the reservation on-line, PCG's web site indicated that there would be two specials, beef tenderloin and halibut, in addition to the brunch menu. Our reservation was for 3 PM. When we were seated, we were told that we were in-between brunch and dinner and the specials were not available. This information should have been indicated on the web site when we made our reservation. We were able to order from the regular menu and the food was good.
