UPDATE - to comment on our review we are using an anonymous email to avoid retaliation or any sort of negative connection. We just don't feel safe using our authentic identity, but the community should be aware of the truth about this clinic thank you Kaprinski- eye specialist knowledgable but does NOT DO EYE OPERATIONS anymore!! uptight personality making a comfortable experience disappointing.

I had been bringing my dog Robin to this clinic for years, and the way they handled things after his passing was appalling. I informed them via email that Robin had passed away, and not only did they ignore my message, but they also never sent any kind of sympathy note. After being a long-time client, the complete lack of compassion was shocking and extremely disappointing. Customer service has also gone downhill. The office manager, Adriana, in particular, was consistently rude, aggressive, and offensive in her interactions... read more
BEWARE! Brought a stray cat here with what seemed to be severe rodent ulcer. This cat was at a healthy weight, playful, and had a good appetite, eating and drinking water fine. Absolutely no signs of lethargy. Within less than 10 minutes of me dropping her off, they decided she had cancer and needed to be euthanized. In such a short time no tests could have been ran to confirm this, its just easier to euthanize a poor stray than to have empathy and do your job. Rather than contacting me for this decision (the person who foun... read more

We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. The stray cat that you are referring to was not brought in as a patient of Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital. She came in as a rescue to see Dr. Robins, who is the veterinarian and lead administrator of Robins rescue that does volunteer rescue work. Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital is not affiliated with Robins rescue. Since you elected to have the foster bring in the patient, she acted as the main decision maker when it came to deciding ... read more
no customer service. they are renovating. did not honor the appointment time of 9am. "stay in your car, will call you when we are ready". 9:20 and still waiting. horrible service
Made an appointment to have dogs checked for heart worm so I could purchase the monthly preventative meds. Was told that they would issue pills after blood test. at the appt. they took blood sample and then said they would not sell the pills without performing an annual physical exam at additional cost and that I would need to come back for the exam appt. They lied to me and my new Vet says there is no requirement for exam as long as blood test is negative. This place is under new ownership and they are no longer the wonderf... read more

We are sorry that you were confused or inconvenienced during your visit. We value your feedback and our policies have not changed under new ownership. We will take your comments into consideration. The link below takes you to the AVMA's (American Veterinary Medical Association) website stating the laws on VCPR (Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationships.) Which clearly states that a current exam is required to dispense medications. Rusty was last seen/examined May 2022 and Nikki was last seen/examined September 2022, therefor... read more
I miss Dr. Dugan and Dr. Langdon. I had know them for many years. I met them at South Dade. I was there since the '80's with Dr. Fenster. Dr. Karpinski told me they were opening their own place in Pinecrest. I moved with them. I am sorry but sitting in my car or standing outside in the heat is too much for me. I can't tolerate the heat. I really get sick. This year has been the worst. I know the pandemic really screwed things up, but I could not sit in my car and not see my cats inside. I M completely vaccinated and still ... read more
I bring my dog here to see the Opthalmologist Dr. Karpinski and she's great. I called to bring in my dog to see the vet, and it's $75 which is absurd!! The visit alone is $75, imagine everything else that will be added onto that. Vets take advantage and abuse cuz they know how much we care about our fur babies. And I get inflation is high but this is not right.
The worst rude front desk staff, specially the blond lady. They are rude, uninterested in you and your dog. They don't acknowledge, explain and/or engage in any positive way. On the other hand, The Vets and the tech's are 5 stars. I feel like the front desk lady must have blackmailed the vets to keep her job.... I have been a client for 4 years and its always the same, horrible front desk, great Vet and tech. staff. Pick your poison
Brought my dog here for an eye exam with Dr Karpinski. What a miserable experience. She poked and prodded my 9 pound, 1 year old dog's eyes with no reassuring words or kindness to the dog. She just looked annoyed that my dog wouldn't be totally still for the exam. After reading other reviews about her, I see I am not the only one to comment on her cold demeanor. She told me my dog was spoiled... but my dog is very well trained (canine good citizen), she just was scared. I would rather drive 50 miles to see another eye... read more
