Polaris 3900 Sport Pressure Pool Cleaner

I replaced an older Polaris with this 3900 and the difference is amazing. I have problems with massive oak trees next door dropping leaves and acorns. No problem for the 3900 and it’s fast. My pool is clean in 2 hours.

Most of the other reviews that I've read are pretty consistent with my experience. I recently replaced a Polaris 380 (which when new and for a few years was a great product) with the Polaris 3900 Sport, and have generally been pleased. The only issue is that it seems to occasionally twist the hose and at times tie it in a knot. Today it did something strange, even for it. When I went to untangle the hose I couldn't see the tail. If the sweeper hose is getting sucked up into the debris bag, make sure the orifice at the end of the sweep hose is not blocked by the sweep hose scrubber. You can also try adjusting the sweep hose to a more gentle sweeping motion. Tightening the screw decreases the sweeping motion and vice versa. All the purchased parts and devices required were included in the box. It would be helpful to have the serial number in a more easily viewable location.

It does a pretty good job However you have to watch it as it will get stuck in some of the corners in our pool.

I’ve always used Polaris product. I needed to upgrade because my other one was 16 years old and It was still working but beginning to slow down. So I upgraded and like it just as much and hopefully will get 16 years from this one too!

It's only been a couple of months but I like what I see! The pool cleaner does a good job of constantly moving without getting hung up on my stairs. It picks up everything on bottom of pool. The tail does not spray water out of pool.......stays below surface of water! Great job so far!

Bought 3900 sport pressure side pool cleaner to replace an 18 year old Pentair Ledgen clearer , which had done a great job over the years. The new polaris also does a great job picking 200% of leaves and debris off the bottom of pool. My only complaint is the filter bag is a bitch to empty and rinse out. Polaris suggested buying a 2nd bag so that you could let one dry out and then empty it. If that is the case for a list price of $949 it shoul come with a 2nd bag!
