Works great with conditions... I purchased the 9550 Sport about 3 months ago. It is extremely easy to use. When it arrives you have to put together the wheeled carrier assembly it comes with. The assembly is simple. A quick skim of the getting started sheet enables immediate use. I have found that the robot performs best when you select either wall scrub only or floors only. It did a great job. I bought the Polaris 9450 for myself I've used a Turbo T4 for the last four years. It did a great job. I bought the Polaris 9450 for myself. It doesn't seem to hold as many leaves but the left button and a five minute turn around is worth a lot. The factory timers (walls/no walls) is good for me. I like the cart that comes with it and the cable is easier to wind up. When opening my pool this year, with slimy algae, the sand filter and robot did 95% of the work. Simple set up and programming. Works well picking up ... Simple set up and programming. Works well picking up for the most part. My concern that the jet stream out the back of it while climbing the wall turns up some of the dirt at the bottom of the pool. That dirt then settles back down after the clean is done. Jury is still out for me.

Love it! I was skeptical...wondering if this would really be much different than my usual pool sweep (which I just purchased a new one). So, I ran my new Polaris pool sweep and thought my pool looked pretty good. Then I put this vacuume in and let it do its thing for the recommended time. Good investment - love it - not perfect. Overall we love our robot and consider it a great investment. The remote is something you can't live without if you have a scalloped pool. However, it is the most awkward and hard to use remote control I have ever used and doesn't seem to always get recognized by the unit. The only other complaint I have is the cord is constantly tangled. I would recommend the silt filter if you want to catch the fine stuff that settles in your pool each night.
