This is the first stand alone cleaner that I have ever had. It is GREAT. I don’t know why it took me so long to buy in?

I had the Zodiac MZ8 and it worked very well. The only thing is the flippers on the bottom would get hung up on the pool drain and pull off into the filter. We stopped replacing them and the vacuum still worked ok. The replacement ATLAS XT is working well. Just wish it were not so expensive.
Hasn't clogged yet with any palm fron pieces or small leaves from the landscaping around my FL Gulf waterfront pool. The Zodiac MX8 Elite I was using always had strands of debris wrapping around the central engine paddles & bearings, sometimes to the point where it would totally stop. I have gone through 3 of the Zodiac MX 8's over the past 10, years and was glad to finally see this different internal engine design and the fact if it ever does encounter a clog, the engine can simply be pulled out for cleaning and popped righ... read more
