Is Different than Original Arrived today and is different than the original one and the one pictured. This one has blue wear rings and I compared it to the original one which has one more wear ring. I will see if there is any performance difference when I install it. I expect the item to match the picture. I didn't really want blue wear rings.
Yearly purchase. The stars are based on the original hose which only lasted a year.
Two Stars For some reason the tail pipe remains curled up & really slows down the motion of the cleaner
As advertised I was amazed at the difference replacing this on my Polaris 250 made. This is the first home I have owned with a pool and I didn't even realize this was supposed to act as a sweep. It became apparent that the old "tail" was completely worn out.
Its the right hose but is not what is pictured ... Its the right hose but is not what is pictured here. The rings on the hose are blue. I expected them to be as pictured as my Polaris pool sweep hose is white. I bought this hose to use the rings on it to replace the ones on my current hose.... which I don't care to be blue.
Something that doesn't seem important I was having problems with my Polaris pool cleaner it was constantly tangling up quite badly and seemed to be running eratically rather than the random cycled but efficient sweep pattern it used to have despite my having recently replaced the hose swivel connections. Arrived quickly. Sealed Polaris part labeled B5. Was ... Arrived quickly.Sealed Polaris part labeled B5. Was the updated model with blue wear rings and is one section and wear ring shorter than older version pictured in all white. Should update photo to new model that reflects company downsizing.
Improved the performance of my sweep My old hose didn't move much, and was essentially dragged behind the main unit. As a result, it didn't sweep the walls efficiently, and the sweep had a tendency to tie itself up, because it didn't have the power to pull the supply hose to straighten it out. With this new hose, it oscillates as it should from side to side, sweeps perfectly, and the entire unit works much better. Should have replaced the old hose earlier -- did make a major difference.
