Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. However, the unit I received was in an unopened Polaris packaging so it seems to be legit. Hooked it up and it works just like the original it replaced.

Saving Money! I have a Polaris 380 that suddenly fell apart in the pool. When I checked and looked closely the back up valve split right in half. I used to just call the pool service and have them replace it but every time they come it costs far too much money. I looked up the part on Amazon, ordered it and installed it 2 days later. It was a simple enough installation and the Polaris is now jutting around the pool just fine. Highly recommended!
