Great value I've been a resident for several months now and I've been happy with my choice living here. It's difficult to beat the price especially considering how expensive most rentals are in the DC area. The building is clean and quiet and the maintenance requests I've put in (unclogging a drain and fixing my garbage disposal after dropping a bottle cap in it) have been responded to promptly. Review of Pooks Hill High Rise in Bethesda, MD The best of Pooks Hill High Rise in Bethesda, MD is its location. It is easy to get to I-495, I270, and Rockville Pike. The staff is helpful; therefore, although the infrastructure is poor, at least the staff is willing to help. Best value for Location I have been living at this location for about 2 years now since 2013. I was a student with limited resources yet wanted the best location for my money and I was brought here by a special incentive program. The apartments are well kept. The office staff is cordial and the cleaning and groundskeeping staff are all nice. It has plenty of parking both in the lot and off street. Nightmare Management/stuff is nonexistent, fire alarms go off in the morning afternoon or evening without explanation, the pool which is the only amenity this place has is dirty and disgusting and was only open for five weeks, the front door has been broken for months, and cars get towed randomly since they have zero quality control with who comes in and out of the parking lot. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. A nightmare

Good building, Management lacks communication skills The good: Compared to other buildings I saw within 10 miles it is pretty affordable. My only utilities are for electricity and cable at a price that would otherwise have me living in a vermin infested building in a high crime neighborhood. It appears to be free of roaches and rodents so far. I have not had any and none of the neighbors I asked have either. (Almost) A great place to live. Let me preface this by saying I love living here. The location is great, the price is reasonable, the floorplan was exactly what I was looking for... so why the 1 star review? Because the Management, to put it mildly, is terrible. I have, on MULTIPLE occasions, put in a maintenance request only to get an email a week later stating my request has been completed despite the fact that no one ever came to the apartment and the issue persists. That's simply unacceptable.

Building and staff need work. I have lived at Pooks Hill Tower for 8 months and moved in during the 2020 pandemic. Over the course of the year and now into 2021, the maintenance and office staff have taken a lackadaisical approach to their care of the building and for the residents, which I partially blame on ownership, Vantage Management (VMI).
