Need a replacement pool cover. When I called to get a quote they wanted to $4500 just to replace the cover. And another $4500 to replace the motor, tracks and other parts… $9k+ for a new system is ridiculous. She could even explain how she came up with that number. I cant see the cost justifying the material and labor. She mentioned that this was the 2024 prices and tried to tell me that this was a savings. They ask for your credit card before they schedule an appointment. They are not up front about the costs, after sending a technician, they just billed my credit card whatever they wanted without a call to discuss how much it was going to be. You should be up front about costs when you are on the phone with a customer. The technician was out for less then an hour, so I guess they get over 200.00 an hour plus parts. Terrible way to do business.
Isaiah came today to do my yearly maintenance. So professional. Explained everything to me. Repaired one pulley. Well Done.
Had an issue with my pool cover (wouldn’t close). I’ve used PCI for many years, but this time they were not able to solve the problem, but charged me anyway for coming out (twice) to diagnose. Ultimately fixed by an electrician. Called the owner/manager and he very nicely offered to reverse the charges. I’ll keep working with PCI, given they listen to their customers and do the right thing.
Technician came out in June because the ropes on the pool cover broke. Technician stated as old as the cover was, it would need to be replaced in a few years. We ordered a new cover. Had to wait several weeks before they scheduled an appointment. When appointment was finally made, they appointment date was 2 months out. Today was the date of installation for the new cover.
