I had a major accident in my apartment where the living room, hallway, and bedroom rugs were ruined. I called Ed Carr at Port Chester Rug, and he came over that day, took measurements and recommended a few kinds of replacement carpets. I brought the samples home, picked two out, and the following week they were installed. The installers were efficient, and the work was done in one day! Every time I walk in the door, I am reminded of how terrific the rugs look, and how easy Ed made the purchase for me.
We installed the StareCasing system on our stairs after ripping up the carpet. Its such a wonderful idea/product…cutting it can be a bit of a challenge, but the final installation looks really great. A great company to work with, and we hope that our stair treads last for many years to come. I would highly recommend this company. Ed Carr was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. His installers were quite professional and did a wonderful job installing a bedroom carpet and stretching two others. This is a company that is not only reliable but also trustworthy They stand behind their work. I will certainly work with them again.
I have used them twice now to have custom carpets & padding cut to specific sizes to meet my apartment's 80% rule. Both times they did the job, on time, and with no screw-ups. 2nd time to match the carpeting that I bought 2 years before, even though that carpet had been discontinued, and they matched it pretty damn close. Yes, you can probably get it somewhere a little cheaper, but if you want it done right, with minimal hassle...these are the guys to go to. From going to store, to Ed coming out to measure for wall to wall, to installation, it was one of the easiest, seamless (no pun intended) experiences I have ever had. Installers were great and really worked efficiently, quickly, and we're so clean. Didn't have to vacuum after they were done. All this was accomplished in one weeks time
