I am at the beginning of my journey for a kidney transplant and the assessment process was a couple of days answering questions, giving more blood than I knew I had, meeting the transplant team and CT scans.....everyone there made this a process that could have been stressful, a wonderful couple of days. Felt like I had known them all since I was a kid by being made to feel comfortable and confident about the process from start to finish....very grateful that they are there for me.
I had surgery here with Dr Conner recently and I'm recovering very well. This place is top notch with very professional and caring people working here. From the time I checked in to recovery was a great experience. My nurse in pre op was amazing and so helpful. I actually felt like a human in her presence. I was worried about anesthesia and my anesthesiologist and her student put my mind at ease. I woke up in no time and didn't feel too doped up so that was a great feeling. Everyone we met with from the doctors and nurses, social worker, financial advisor, to radiology technicians and lab workers were very informative and professional. Staff members would see us in the hallway looking confused and immediately would offer assistance. I would very highly recommend this facility and their personnel.
Had to give one star but I really wish I could rate no stars. The whole facility don't know anything. They all point fingers at each other and seem very uneducated. I would definitely not recommend coming to this facility for anything. Wish I didn't have to come here anymore. The only staff that shows they care are the clinic staff. Plus the way they treat my mother in that facility is a terrible. I wished that there was another facility for transplant patients trying to recover.
My experience at Porter was phenomenal. I was genuinely amazed because every person I talked to was so kind and helpful and they genuinely seemed to enjoy their job and working together. There was no wait time and the process went smoothly. Everyone made you feel at ease and I have been raving to everyone I know about my wonderful experience at Porter and how much I now love the Adventist hospitals.
