This is the best of both worlds the small town feel with the professional quality you want for your animal. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. I was referred her for my dogs ultrasound and the veterinarian that helped me was patient and explained everything on each picture that she snapped of my baby dog. I would recommend this Animal Hospital to any and everyone!

Dr Summers has taken great care of our Golden! It's great to have a good vet with a fresh and clean facility here in West Wichita. The staff is super friendly and helpful and their groomer does a great job as well. I'd highly recommend Dr Summers and her staff.

Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital staff is awesome and friendly. The staff is helpful, caring and makes you feel like family. The clinics appearance is clean and a comfortable atmosphere. I love how the vets make you feel like they are truly there to care for your pet. Thank you so much for taking great care of my German Shepherd " Sasha". I highly recommend this Vet Clinic!

The staff did an amazing job with boarding my dog, Buck. He got to play in the big backyard and enjoy other dogs' company.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Everyone at Prairie Ridge is friendly and helpful. I brought my pug, Lew, here and after some nasty experiences at previous vets (what dog likes the vet?) I knew he'd be neevous, but he got his check up and was happy as could be, no anxiety or discomfort. I brought him back a little later for surgery on his teeth, and I told them I was leaving town soon. They squeezed me in and were willing and able to work with my budget. I didn't feel pressured or stupid for asking questions and they didn't m... read more

This is an excellent veterinarian clinic that I highly recommend. So thankful I found them on the west side. Dr. Summers and her staff have made us (and our pets) so comfortable with a loving, caring atmosphere in which there is no doubt that your pets well being comes first. Over the past 20 years I have experienced 5 different clinics on the west side. I have seen huge overcharges, unnecessary treatments (all to generate additional revenue) and a pompous arrogance from one clinic which made me wish I could have joined my ... read more

The service had seriously declined since the departure of Dr. Melanie Summers. Now it's really all about how many tests and visits they can squeeze you for. Now you get charged over 55 dollars for someone to weight and look in your pets ear, even when all you needed was a booster shot and you were just there 3 weeks prior. It's all about the money now.

I came in to get my cat groomed. Olivia Nelson is one of my best friends that told me I would be taken care of and we were both shocked to see how I was actually treated. I felt as if Dr. Bruce wouldn't listen to me when I continued to tell her that Callie had already been to the vet and was being taken care of, she's a 16 year old cat and I didn't want her being poked at any more than necessary. I was charged for a fecal float and didn't even get one done until my THIRD visit. I had to come back a second time because my cat... read more

Their prices for vaccinations and examinations are double the price of other Vet Clinics. I called around today to get a quote and could not believe what they charge $170 for my 2 dogs for just yearly vaccinations! Friendly staff on the phone, but I was transferred to another person after explaining I was calling for a price quote, and had to explain again what I was calling for and all of my information a second time.

Business response:

I apologize for any inconvenience we caused you. We really appreciate your feedback and will definitely let our staff know the communication issues. Our goal is for everyone to have a positive experience and we hope that we can improve upon what we learn from your experience. We will be sure to further explain what is included when we quote prices. We had given you the price that included the annual parasite screen and heartworm/ tick test we perform. Again we apologize for quoting the price of an annual update instead ... read more
