I'm a young college student and wanted to begin going to a gyno for regular appointments- for obvious reasons. I expected to get pap/pelvic exam and was told they do not perform those on anyone under 21 unless requested. I waited for over an hour in the exam room for her to only take breath sounds and tell me she would refill my birth control. I wasn't given a breast exam or anything that pertained to going to a specialty doctor. I was very unimpressed and will not be going back to Dr Roleands.

Dr. Roeland came in; didn't even introduce herself. Was very fast with breast exam and pelvic. I had just lost my sister to ovarian cancer. I had questions regarding my own chance of developing it also. She just said I needed to see oncologist, get records from hospital where my sister had been and that was that. She was very matter of fact and in a hurry.

When she went to give me my breast examination, she touched me only twice very lightly which was not sufficient to figure out if I had cancer or not. Also, she seemed to just be in and out very quickly and it didn't seem thorough at all. My primary care doctor does a better pelvic exam than her and this is supposed to be her specialty.
