insane prices and can not find 5 minutes to call you with blood work results even after calling 3 times . I would think for 1,000 they could find 5 minutes . Absolutely horrible.

They are horrible and don't care for your pets health, all they care for is the money. They make you feel guilty for questioning the prices for the treatment of your animal. You can bring your dog in because they have a strain paw or leg and next thing they you know their talking about amputating the leg ! I will never go there again, I took my dog in because of a limp and the doctor told me she would need X-RAYs and than I was given a bill of $1,358 but the receptionist gave it to me not the doctor because he didn't even ha... read more

I brought my deaf/blind dog, Dakota, to see Dr. Charos for a routine visit. She was UTD on rabies before this visit. Dr. Charos took her in the back to draw blood and brought her back saying he vaccinated her for rabies! He did this against my wishes and without consenting me first. How is that professional? Dakota was ALREADY vaccinated for rabies and did NOT need to be vaccinated again! Money is more important to Central Veterinary Associates than quality vet care. MURDERERS!!! This September I brought here (Valley Stream) my absolutely healthy young cat to give birth at this place. They charged me $5 000! They kept her for the night and in the morning they called me and said that my cat and her kittens are dead. I never got any explanation on how it happened or why. I just received my cat in a carton box and now she's buried on my back yard. I paid them $5 000 to kill my cat. I wish that money brings all the disasters and pain in the world to every single one of the staff responsible ... read more

great staff, they care, everyone but they have to do their job and their job includes charging the corporations exorbitant fees - my dog was in pain and panting and shaking, i couldnt understand what the heck had happened - they drained his anal glands in bayside and gave him a shot for pain - that was &600 and he was STILL so sick that night - i took him over to the valley Stream main office from 10pm tuesday til 9 pm thursday - blood work and an X-ray, a soon, fluiids and shots of pain meds and ampilcillin, it was primaril... read more
