Incommunicative. Did not get permission or tell us that there was a fee to extend rate lock, so we paid an additional fee and unnecessary point pay down. Created panic to close, scheduled us for a Saturday, and didn't tell us it wasn't happening until we contacted him 20 minutes after appointment was supposed to begin. If we hadn't heard how rough the refi market is right now and weren't so close to closing we would have pulled out right then.

The information at closing was sparse and getting someone to answer the phone was nearly impossible. Changes to closing costs were not explained sufficiently requiring me to ask about it when discovered. Overall the process was ok, however compared to past refinances or was not exceptional in any way.

Charles did three things that are forcing me to file formalized complaints. 1. Pulled my credit without my authorization. 2. Sent a notary to my house to without telling us when or who was coming. 3. Was not willing to get on the phone to speak with me when I had questions around closing.
